TheraPLACE is a sponsor for children participating in the Louisville Headshot Clinic
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (August 11, 2016) – TheraPLACE Learning Center is pleased to announce its sponsorship in the Changing the Face of Beauty Headshot Clinic in Louisville, KY on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13. This is the first time the nationally recognized campaign will hold a headshot clinic for people living with disabilities in the state of Kentucky.
Changing the Face of Beauty is a national movement to empower people living with disabilities by advocating for inclusive imagery, thus changing perceptions and igniting futures in the media and advertising industries. Changing the Face of Beauty has coordinated with over 100 retailer companies educating them on what products look like on models with and without disabilities when pictured together and inclusion in their advertising.
Each headshot clinic helps encourage casting agencies all over the country to include talent with disabilities. The clinics provide all the participants with
5 digital images delivered via an online gallery plus a Changing the Face of Beauty t-shirt. The funds raised from each clinic will go to helping Changing the Face of Beauty continue to grow and educate the world on the importance of people of all abilities being seen in the media and advertising together.
“We are excited to sponsor this amazing national campaign. This movement really has the potential to positively influence society's perception of individuals of a wide variety of abilities as well as to empower these individuals," said Jill Cox-Woodall owner and founder of TheraPLACE Learning Center. “I’m proud to support the Louisville photo sessions. It’s a great way continue moving our city in the direction of media and marketing inclusion for everyone.”
